Position Overview
We're seeking a Business Development Lead to drive our growth strategy and product evolution. This role combines the strategic vision of a business development director with hands-on product and customer engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development within the renewable energy or SaaS sectors, coupled with a keen interest in emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Provide critical insights on product features, aligning our technology with market needs and industry trends
Collaborate with the product team to prioritize feature development based on market demand and competitive analysis
Develop and execute strategies to identify and close sales opportunities with potential clients in the renewable energy sector
Lead complex sales cycles, from initial outreach to contract negotiation and closure
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target organizations
Engage closely with existing customers to gather feedback on product performance and identify areas for improvement
Translate customer needs into actionable product development recommendations
Act as a bridge between clients and the product development team to ensure continuous product evolution
Stay abreast of trends in renewable energy asset transactions and due diligence processes
Conduct competitor analysis and identify market opportunities for product expansion
Provide regular market insights to inform company strategy and product roadmap
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in business development, preferably in renewable energy, SaaS, or related fields
Strong understanding of renewable energy asset transactions and due diligence processes
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to various stakeholders
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate market and customer insights into actionable recommendations
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus
Desired Skills
Familiarity with the renewable energy investment landscape
Experience with B2B SaaS products
