Position Overview

We're seeking a Business Development Lead to drive our growth strategy and product evolution. This role combines the strategic vision of a business development director with hands-on product and customer engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development within the renewable energy or SaaS sectors, coupled with a keen interest in emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide critical insights on product features, aligning our technology with market needs and industry trends

  • Collaborate with the product team to prioritize feature development based on market demand and competitive analysis

  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and close sales opportunities with potential clients in the renewable energy sector

  • Lead complex sales cycles, from initial outreach to contract negotiation and closure

  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target organizations

  • Engage closely with existing customers to gather feedback on product performance and identify areas for improvement

  • Translate customer needs into actionable product development recommendations

  • Act as a bridge between clients and the product development team to ensure continuous product evolution

  • Stay abreast of trends in renewable energy asset transactions and due diligence processes

  • Conduct competitor analysis and identify market opportunities for product expansion

  • Provide regular market insights to inform company strategy and product roadmap

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, preferably in renewable energy, SaaS, or related fields

  • Strong understanding of renewable energy asset transactions and due diligence processes

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to various stakeholders

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate market and customer insights into actionable recommendations

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus
